How we built multi-agent AI coordination in 48 hours (And what it means for procurement)
Laura Cooper

Hackathons have become a cornerstone of our year, a tradition that celebrates innovation and community. With team members spread across the states, we use hackathons to go heads down and focus on breakthrough projects with teammates outside of our day-to-day teams.

The theme of this year was “Agents Rule Everything Around Me”—a nod to our core mission of “Compliance Rules Everything Around Me”. We’re moving beyond just automation, we’re validating the autonomous agent architectures that will define modern procurement operations.

We’re witnessing the rise of agentic AI models that move beyond reactive responses to proactive intelligence. Our hackathons pushed the boundaries of what’s possible, incorporating cutting-edge agentic trends into each project to explore how autonomous systems can transform procurement operations.

Innovation track record

Our hackathons go beyond proof-of-concept demonstrations. We validate AI capabilities and ship competitive advantages within weeks of development. This rapid innovation-to-production cycle to our software demonstrates our commitment to deploying breakthrough AI infrastructure that directly improves our customer operations.

2024 hackathon projects now enhancing customer experience

Vibecheck deploys sentiment analysis intelligence that automatically analyzes customer communications, providing our support teams with clarity and insight for faster issue resolution. By understanding customer sentiment before responding, our teams resolve issues more effectively while maintaining customer focus. The system is now embedded in our support infrastructure, directly driving NPS and satisfaction scores to gauge how we are supporting the customer experience.

Built in 2024, enhanced in 2025: Prompty began as a natural language task management assistant in our 2024 hackathon. This year, leveraging advances in AI capabilities, Prompty evolved into a comprehensive autonomous agent with 70+ capabilities deployed across Sibi operations. This enables our teams to respond faster to customer needs, process requests more efficiently, and deliver high-quality service experiences.

AI trends we brought to life in 48 hours

AI features are great, but deploying AI infrastructure is better. The autonomous agents we develop internally directly translate to superior customer experiences through faster response times, proactive prevention, and more intelligent service delivery.

Reactive to proactive intelligence

Hackathon project: Groundwork

Property data is the foundation of smart procurement decisions. Today it enables transactions, and when enriched with additional sources, it enables strategic purchasing decisions.

Groundwork represents the evolution from static property data to dynamic intelligence infrastructure. Autonomous validation agents continuously research, verify attributes, analyze comparables, and enrich property data without human intervention. The system automatically provides confidence scores and documents all sources, creating a self-enhancing data infrastructure that grows smarter with every interaction.

Our customers benefit from continuously enriched data that provides deeper insights, more accurate recommendations, and strategic market intelligence. Groundwork transforms great property data into exceptional procurement intelligence that drives better buying decisions.

Multi-agent orchestration

Hackathon project: Context clue

When customers contact support, they expect complete context and immediate resolution. However, the information needed to resolve help tickets live across systems.

In just two days, Context Clue showcases sophisticated multi-agent coordination where specialized AI agents gather and synthesize information from across multiple operational platforms. The agents coordinate to consolidate real-time operational data, customer context, and system updates into unified intelligence accessible to our support teams. Each agent specializes in different data sources while coordinating seamlessly to provide complete situational awareness.

This multi-agent architecture enables our support teams to resolve customer issues faster and with complete context. Context Clue is already in production and currently used by teams across Sibi.

Autonomous strategic intelligence

Hackathon project: Pathfinder

Organizations need procurement partners who understand market dynamics, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities. However, most organizations don’t have the bandwidth to continuously monitor market intelligence to inform strategic recommendations.

Pathfinder demonstrates autonomous research agents that continuously monitor competitive intelligence, customer feedback, and internal capabilities to inform strategic decisions. Multiple specialized research agents operate in parallel, monitoring competitor movements, analyzing customer feedback across channels, and scanning technical capabilities. The system connects market signals with internal feasibility to identify high-impact strategic opportunities autonomously.

This agent enables us to provide customers with more strategic procurement guidance and earlier insights into market opportunities.

Continuous innovation that drives customer value

The procurement landscape is rapidly dividing between organizations with AI capabilities and those still managing manual processes. The competitive advantages we’re validating through internal AI deployment directly translate to superior customer service, advanced procurement workflows, and strategic market intelligence.

The future of procurement is powered by autonomous intelligence that brings reliability and governance to procurement operations. At Sibi, we’re not just building that future, we’re already operating it.
